Pack Station Food & General Store

Join us on the deck…

The General Store

Our little store on the front porch has been in operation since 1954. Bill Adams operated the station exclusively as a packing business until he married Lila in December 1953. Snacks and refreshments have been sold to visitors here at Chantry Flat ever since.

We have a big selection of drinks, including bottled water, Gatorade, sodas & juices. Stock up before your hike or cool off afterwards. We also have a beer selection for our adult patrons – typically Bud, Bud Light, Coors Light, Corona and Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. We can sell beer to be taken to the picnic area or campgrounds, provided it leaves the premises unopened.

The freezer is always stocked with ice cream and popsicles such as Drumsticks, Klondike Bars, ice cream sandwiches, Fudgesicles and Big Sticks.

Don’t forget your snacks – candy, chips, granola bars, Power Bars, crackers, peanuts, trail mix etc.

The Grill

Rich and the crew have become well known for their burgers, dogs and links. Hamburgers and cheeseburgers, dubbed “Kick-Ass Burgers” in honor of our donkeys, are served with lettuce, tomato & onion on a toasted bun. Hot, fresh french fries come with the deal.

Equally popular are the hot links. These spicy sausages on a bun have a perfect “snap” when you bite into them. Excellent with mustard or Eric’s BBQ Sauce.

Our classic hot dogs are always Nathan’s brand bun-length. A favorite amongst our canine visitors that have returned from a long hike.

Eat on our shady deck or take your food to the picnic area.
