While many visitors to the canyon think of Adams Pack Station as just a place to purchase food, drinks, hiking maps and Forest Service parking passes, it is also the last remaining pack station in Southern California, and the only year-round pack station still operating in the Western United States!
As we have settled back in to being open to the public, we have begun expanding our menu options. Here is what you can find when you come to the pack station:
Hamburgers (vegan options), Hot Dogs (vegan options), Chili, Nachos, Ice Cream, Cold Drinks, Cold Beer, Coffee, Snacks, Fresh Pastries and More!
Eager to start your hike? Grab your morning coffee, breakfast sandwich, and lunch to go. Don't forget your hydrating drink and afternoon snack, we've got you covered! (Please always hike out your trash with you if trash cans are full)
Couldn't find an Adventure (Parking) Pass? We have the daily passes for you (while supplies last), along with trail maps, sun block, bug spray, head nets and more. Don't forget to get your memorable souvenirs to remember your awesome experience and for a great gift.
Sunny days guarantee that our deck will be full of guests enjoying the outdoor ambiance, great food, a cold beer or soft drink or a tasty treat. On not-so-sunny days, we also offer comfortable covered seating, with nearby heating, while you enjoy a hot beverage and meal in the beautiful outdoors.
Want to hire the pack train to haul your stuff? Most of the Big Santa Anita Canyon Cabins are privately owned and are not for rent to the general public. However, Sturtevant Camp is open for all to rent a cabin. It is a beautiful rustic cabin resort that has stood the test of time since 1893. You can now make a reservation to rent a cabin at Sturtevant Camp and can schedule for our amazing donkeys to deliver all of your items to camp.
